DetroitBazaar road trip

Shawn of DetroitBazaar traveled westward to discover memories of what was and what could be for our beloved city.

For the 5th year in a row one of the co-owners of DetroitBazaar travelled west to experience a one of a kind part of history. I know that this blog is based on the city of Detroit, but we at DetroitBazaar believe in the exploration of the world around us. To uncover and reveal what we as a community could and should be. For three days of the year the city of Veneta, Oregon (just outside of Eugene, OR) becomes the fourth largest city in the state of Oregon and is a self contained, thriving community of vibrant and caring citizens. Set in a field of tree covered paths, full of boothes including arts, crafts, food and numerous stages of entertainment. The Oregon Country Fair has just celebrated it's 36th year and attracts people from all over the world. The OCF is something that cannot be explained in full detail, but instead must be experienced personally to understand the true meaning and beauty behind it. Here are but a few pictures from my fun filled weekend.
