Jerome Bettis gets a key to the City of Detroit
...and now joins only 3 other individuals, including Saddam Hussein , yes...that's right, the one and only Saddam Hussein , who are among the elite members that hold this honor. Welcome home Jerome! May the spirit of the city and the pride you hold from within guide you to your dreams.
Here we see Coleman A. Young presenting the key to the city of Detroit in 1979.
Although I am not positive that this is the actual photo of Saddam Hussein getting a key to the City of Detroit, it does make me wonder how many keys he may have recieved from other cities? Hussein was given a key to the City of Detroit in 1980.
And here is Kwame presenting the key to Jerome Bettis on January 31, 2006.

Don't quote me but I believe the reason old Saddam got the key was because he gave a hefty amount of money to build a church of some sort. I don't even think it was a mosque and seems sort of weird. Anyway, have you ever seen the picture of him and Don Rumsfeld shaking hands like they were brothers trying to achieve the same goals? Anyone out there know how many keys are given out? Did Rosa get one? Yeah, Santa gets one every year, but the real keys are what I'm looking for. Peace to you and Peace to Detroit.
