20 Years After Michigan Central Station

It's hard to believe that it's been almost 20 years since the old station closed. Back in '88 (the last train departed on 1/5/88) she was abandoned, and the city hasn't looked back, or forward, yet. Although I am not a huge fan of casinos and I know that it has obviously been discussed numerous times, I still believe this could be the perfect spot for a casino, hotel/lofts, retail shops and of course a train station. The $275-million price tag spent building the new Motor City Casino would have been a nice start, and a bigger boost for the city.
